November 24, 2019 //  5 Comments

Nutella Hazelnut kisses

For the biscuits –
120 gms unsalted softened butter
120 gms caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp ground cardamom
90 gms ground almonds
30 gms ground hazelnuts
120 00flour

For the filling –
5 tbsp nutella
4 tbsp warm water
2 tbsp roasted crushed hazelnuts

Preheat the oven at 180 C.

Beat the butter and sugar with a wooden spoon until smooth and creamy. To this add the vanilla and cardamom and mix well. Now add the almonds, hazelnuts and flour and combine it all well.

Once smooth roll it out into sausage shape and divide it into 20 portions. Line 2 baking sheets with baking parchment and shape each portion into a small ball and place it on the prepared sheet.

with the fingers gently press on the shaped balls to flatten it out slightly. Now bake for 15-18 mins until slightly golden. Place them on a cooling rack until cooled down completely.

In a bowl mix the nutella with the warm water and loosen it slightly. Now add the hazelnuts to it and combine.

Put a tbsp of the filling on one biscuit and sandwich it with another. Repeat the same with all the biscuits.

Store in an airtight box and eat it within 3-4 days.
