Spicy and sweet sticky chicken

August 25, 2019 //  4 Comments

Spicy and sweet sticky chicken!

I posted the video of cooking this chicken at home and at once received MANY messages requesting the recipe. So here is the marinade recipe  for the chicken.

I am using chicken thighs but you can use chicken breasts and cook it like a stir fry or chicken wings for this gorgeous marinade, the choice is yours.

Preheat the oven to 200 C.

For the marinade –
4 tbsp honey
6 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp chilli sauce
4 tbsp dark soya sauce
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp brown sugar

12 chicken thighs (skinless and boneless)

Mix it all in a big bowl and add 12 chicken thighs, with 2 cuts on each thigh, to the marinade. Let it rest in the fridge for an hour.

Preheat the oven and roast the chicken for 40-45 minutes until golden and cooked. Place the cooked chicken on a plate and drizzle the sauce from the roasting tin and sprinkle some sesame seeds and serve.

The recipe video is on my Instagram (IGTV).

HI. I am making this tonight. I had some asian Chile sauce in the fridge that I used. What kind of Chile sauce do you use in the recipe? Can’t wait to taste it!
